PAPAA Digital Website Refresh

PAPAA site redevelopment

As an organisation we were an earlier adopter of electronic information via our first dedicated website in 1996.

We have refreshed our online resources a number of times in the last 20 plus years to meet all those changes, and are now pleased to present our latest version.

Creating a new presentation has been a mammoth task. We had four separate sites running:

These four sites have been brought together, to make it easier to manage and provide a better user experience, particularly via mobile devices, the site is completely responsive and adaptive to different screens and devices.

Data is delivered securely and the privacy of users is maintained to a high standard, fully compliant with the newly introduced EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What’s new?

To provide a new user experience, we surveyed people with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis and found out what they wanted from a site and, used that user intelligence as part of a discovery process that identified the type of visitor and what they needed to know and read about.

The pages and navigation processes have been designed to link useful pieces of information together and along with a site search and quick entry ‘I am’ menu to guide users to the most relevant information.

The main sections have all the initial information that both newly diagnosed and people with a long established condition will need to know. We have also added a section called the Knowledge Bank, a comprehensive collection of enhanced information, images, educational support programmes and other content, which can also be searched with key words and category types. All this is available free via a simple login process.

Healthcare providers also have a secure area to access a CPD accredited training programmes and dedicated news alerts. An online blog is also available to stimulate conversation and comment on relevant topics related to psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.

What’s next?

The site is going to be continually updated and new sections will be added over time; these will include a public blog and enhanced self-help guides.

We will also be expanding our awareness activity and will be making available supporters packs and promotional items.

If you have any suggestions related to awareness and items that may assist, please let us know.
