We are pleased to announce that for a second year running we have continued to demonstrate that our service delivery complies with the requirements of The Information Standard, this follows a recent surveillance review.
Across England, thousands of organisations produce health and social care information for the public which varies greatly in terms of quality and reliability. So how can the public tell whether information is truth or myth ?
The Information Standard is a certification scheme for all organisations producing evidence-based health and care information for the public. Any organisation achieving The Information Standard has undergone a rigorous assessment to check that the information they produce is clear, accurate, balanced, evidence-based and up-to-date.
Caroline Marven, a key member of staff in the information production process said:
“... it proves that the hard work we have put in has paid of...”
She continued:
“... we were particularly pleased with the assessor’s best practice comment regarding our involvement of lay reviewers, all of whom give up their time voluntary to help us to help others learn, cope and live psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis..”
