We were recently reminded about the difficulties people face when working with psoriasis. The enquirer shared their letter of employment termination from 1989 with the question “I do wonder if anything has changed?”
The story relates to being employed as a car salesperson, but after starting the job, the individual revealed to the employer that he had psoriasis. The blunt letter of termination showed little compassion following the disclosure. Read the letter here.
Even though 1989 is a relatively long time and era to the present day, we suspect that the practice of discrimination still happens, as we have received similar stories from others.
